Project "Leaden Times“
The work on the project "Leaden Times" began in early 2021 and is an ongoing process. What initially had its origins in a processing of the seemingly stretched time during the pandemic and the isolation that accompanied it, developed into a general reflection on waiting and persevering in the wake of a constantly changing environment that is often perceived as threatening.
The works selected here describe, on the one hand, the profound uncertainty in the face of social and political tensions and, on the other hand, the fragile balance of "forces".
The three works in the middle were created as a direct reaction to the violent invasion of Ukraine, but they can also be understood as an abstract symbolization of conflicts and their effects.
